The shark will probably have a strength advantage, and it has powerful jaws with rows of razor sharp teeth..however, the octopus has 8 powerful tentacles that secrete poison - it could wrap its tentacles around the shark and suffocate it (if a shark can’t move and swim in the water it can’t breathe)..
My money’s on the Octopus… by submission…
