That’s Chris Garcia’s headline. I would add my own, but there’s no word for the sound of my forehead repeatedly banging against my desk. The Lakers didn’t have to give up Jordan Farmar or Trevor Ariza, they got rid of Kwame Brown, and dealt two draft picks which are effectively the #30 selection, since the Lakers are going to win the NBA title.
On the plus side, Memphis kept one Gasol brother. There’s also something beautiful about Stromile Swift, Darko Milicic, and Kwame Brown all playing for the same NBA franchise, even if it’s just for a few days. (Swift is about to get traded for Jason Collins, AKA, The Worst Player In The NBA.) GM Chris Wallace should see if he can pick up Jason Williams and Nikoloz Tskitishvili so they can take a Draft Bust All-Starz team photo, and compete for an alternate dimension NBA title.
