Sean:What did the kid in "Big" say when he finally came home?
Sean:Wouldn't everyone just think he'd been molested for months?
Louise:That has always bothered me
Louise:The second part of that question
Louise:That people would treat him like he had experienced serious trauma
Sean:Right
Sean:And then he'd go to therapy
Sean:And it really would be like he had dissociative identity disorder
Sean:"Oh, so BIg Josh got a job. That's great"
Sean:"Now"
Sean:"Did anyone ever touch Big Josh inappropriately?"
Sean:"Yeah, but she was a beautiful woman, see"
Sean:"Oh, so...Big Josh is no longer a virgin."
Louise:So distressing
Louise:That he has sex with that woman when he is like 13
Sean:I think a competent therapist would hear that story and think, obviously, he was raped at a carnival
Sean:That's why he's obsessed with the wish machine
Louise:"Big" is a way more disturbing movie than it lets on
